Warehouse Supervisor

We are currently looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join the team at our North Acton depot. This person will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping products, as well as maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular cycle counts, and identifying and resolving any inventory discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Manage inventory levels to ensure that there is an adequate supply of materials to meet demand, production schedules and other company objectives and place orders as needed
- Develop and implement inventory control policies and procedures to minimise stockouts and excess inventory
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on inventory levels, orders placed/status, pricing information and other inventory-related metrics.
- Ensure that all inventory is properly labelled, stored, and accounted for
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks to ensure that inventory levels are accurate
- Assist in the implementation of new inventory management systems and procedures
- Oversee packing process to ensure efficient handling and dispatch of inventory while maintaining quality standards and meeting customer expectations
Vendor management/relations
- Collaborate with vendors to negotiate pricing and delivery schedules
- Resolve any issues with vendors related to orders or deliveries
- Manage and track purchase orders from creation to receipt
Maintenance
- Work with the Operations Manager to develop and implement bin repair and maintenance schedules
- Inspect bins and containers to identify any defects or safety hazards, and report findings to management.
- Maintain inventory of parts and supplies needed for bin repairs and maintenance
- Repairing, maintaining, and servicing waste bins and containers to ensure they are in good working condition and meet safety regulations.
- Keep accurate records of bin repairs and maintenance activities
- Operate specialised equipment to perform repairs
Management
- Management and organisation of a small warehouse team
- Coaching and training of the team
