Our client is a heritage, family-owned business with an international reputation for the highest levels of quality and service.

They are currently seeking a skilled, experienced Supervisor with experience in manufacturing.

**The Job**

This is a varied and interesting role involving:

- Planning and delegating work efficiently to meet daily, weekly, project or production goals.
- Report on production daily, including parts/products produced, downtime minutes and any quality concerns.
- Monitoring equipment efficiency checking materials supplies and coordinated manpower requirements to meet expected demand.
- Monitoring manufacturing variances to achieve quality improvement while resolving product process and equipment problems.
- Assisting in all areas of manufacturing, safety, inventory control and process implementation.
- Directing all production phases from initial manufacture to final quality check and delivery.
- Working effectively as both part of wider team and with mínimal supervision to exceed targets.
- Assigning tasks to colleagues and monitoring productivity, performance and task completion.
- Coordinating picking works orders, allocations and setups, minimising downtime and improving productivity.
- Establishing work priorities to meet contractual obligations for schedule and installations.
- Ensuring operations stay consistent, smooth running and safe through regular inspections and monitoring.
- Closely overseeing daily operations ensuring service stayed high quality and within targets.
- Developing measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality.

To be successful in this role you’ll have a focus on people and team building, quality of materials and finished products as well as accomplishing challenging business objectives.

You’ll be:

- A clear and decisive leader with a diligent and detail-oriented mindset.
- Proficient in coordinating manufacturing and assembly operations with logistics, quality, stock control and other departments to optimise process, procedures and productivity.
- Knowledgeable about small equipment operation and able to step into any production position and work hands-on with team members.
- Versed in documentation, compliance and scheduling.

**Terms**

Hours:
This role is offered on a part-time (min 30 hrs/wk) or full time basis (5-day week) with flexibility on how the hours are worked which can be discussed at interview. ie, some current staff condense their hours across the week to take a Friday off, others start when the factory opens at 7.30am to finish early.

The company works a standard 37.5 hr week.

There is flexibility in the working day, to be discussed, around start time / finish etc.

Holiday & Sick Pay:

- Statutory 20 days holiday per year, increasing by 1 day per year after 3 years, up to 25 days per year.
- 8 bank holidays per year and 10 paid sick days per year.
- At the discretion of the Directors, there is a company shutdown between Christmas and New Year and an extra 1-day holiday in the week of your birthday.

**Salary**:

- Starting salary up to £35k on permanent contract with a 3-month trial period.
- Potential participation in future company EMI scheme.
- As normal, (and as you would expect), there will be productivity targets /monitoring / measuring and a job description to fit roles and responsibilities to be reviewed and as part of the employment contract.
