Kingston upon Hull, United Kingdom Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust Full time

Our highly valued Bank Chaplains play a key role in the Chaplaincy team by augmenting the team from time to time. The role is primarily focussed on the provision of high quality pastoral and spiritual care (including religious care when requested) to patients, their families and carers.

Opportunities arise to support the Chaplaincy team at different times, and for a variety of reasons. Typically however successful applicants may be invited to offer a minimum of 3.5 hours (1 session) between 08:00 and 16:00 from time to time, according to the needs of the service, on any day of the week, including occasional weekends. Bank Chaplains may also be asked to be available for short periods if the Chaplaincy team require temporary additional capacity during the course of a Major Incident. Some Bank Chaplains currently participate in the 24 hour on-call rota from time to time.

The role offered will be dependent on experience. If this is the next step in your career, you will be recruited as an Assistant Bank Chaplain at Band 5 with a clear development plan. If you have already worked at this level for a number of years in a large complex organisation, you will be offered a position of Band 6 Trust Chaplain.

The advert will be closed as soon as sufficient applicants have been received.
