**Brief Description**:
The purpose of this role is to:

- undertake assurance, competence and certification of all relevant employees (Signallers and Controllers), and to input to and assist in the development and delivery of training solutions.
- deliver initial signaller training as an associate trainer for the Devon & Cornwall and Gloucester re-signalling schemes. This training will include operational rules and regulations, and operation of associated signalling equipment.

**About the role (External)**:
**Key Accountabilities**:

- Manage the provision and consistent delivery of training plans in line with customer requirements.
- Provide input into the construction and development of packages and manage the production of training course and support materials to address local needs as well as continuously developing and improving the training solutions.
- Evaluate and report on the quality and standard of training provided.

Accountable for identification and delivery of training requirements, and where appropriate other railway groups training, and liaising with
- Professional Development & Training regarding training needs of the operations teams.
- Deliver initial signaller training as an associate trainer for the Devon & Cornwall and Gloucester re-signalling schemes. This training will include operational rules and regulations, and operation of associated signalling equipment.
- Undertake briefings as directed.
- Manage training facilities, balancing the training forecast against budget(s).
- Maintain and deliver competency assessments for all relevant roles as well as gathering evidence for assessments from key sources.
- Share best practice with other Training & Competency Management teams.
- Undertake certification of staff competency to work as required.

**Salary**: £34,050 - £38,305
