We are seeking to appoint an experienced shipping assistant to join our growing team based in Bradford. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is a skilled and ambitious individual.

**Role and Responsibilities**

This is not an exhaustive list of duties but gives an outline of the role and responsibilities of this position.
- Obtaining import and export freight quotes, vessel/flight schedules and transit times
- Booking import and export shipments with carriers
- Preparing import and export documentation including certificates of origin, EUR1 Forms, Insurance Certificates, Health Certificates, CITES Permits and Letters of Credit
- Liaising with the warehouse providing picking and packing instructions
- Providing clearance instructions for imports including verification of customs classification tariffs and duties according to products imported.
- Monitoring all shipments from dispatch to our warehouse
- Maintaining import and export files and records
- Stock System management e.g., stock movements and adjustments
- Produce weekly and monthly stock and order reports
- Liaise with the sales department to optimize transport shipments

**Qualifications and Education Requirements**

Good written and spoken English

Educated to GCSE Standard (or equivalent)

**Preferred Skills**

Experience in Freight Forwarding and Customs Compliance

Good general administration skills.

You must have IT skills which include MS Office knowledge

Communicate effectively and efficiently with internal teams, managers and customers.
