**What you’ll be responsible for**:

- Provide an audio transcription/typing service. The post holder will be expected to type clinical correspondence inclusive of letters to patients, clinic appointments, test results, referrals and discharge summaries.
- Undertake accurate recording / inputting and amending of data within Trust information systems.
- Communicate effectively with the use of tact and diplomacy and seek to overcome barriers to effective communication.
- Work collaboratively with the wider departmental team to ensure a consistent and effective Patient First service.
- Assist and support in the development and improvement of the service and in the implementation of Trust and Departmental policies and procedures.

**You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust**:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS

2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times

3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

**You’ll have the following skills/experience**:

- Excellent communication skills
- both verbal and written
- Microsoft office skills
- Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Previous NHS experience
- Typing experience and qualifications
