Cornish Lithium is an innovative British mineral exploration and development company focused on the responsible production of lithium and other critical minerals in Cornwall, UK.
As a Modelling Geologist your responsibilities will include:
- Interpretation of regional geological and geophysical data
- Undertaking GIS based prospectivity analysis and targeting for lithium in geothermal waters in GIS
- Writing exploration reports
- Communicating results via teams and Powerpoint presentations to peers
- 3D subsurface geological modelling of target structures using Leapfrog Geo
- Borehole planning and design
- Drill site selection using geological and surface constraints to identify viable drill locations.
We would welcome applicants with the following attributes:
- Undergraduate degree in Geology or Geoscience
- 0-3 years experience in geoscience
- Strong core geological knowledge
- Data analysis skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong communication (oral and written)
- Comfortable working independently and within a team
- Creativity / problem solving
- Strong competence in IT
- Right to work in the UK
- Valid UK Driving Licence
Desirable factors:
- Relevant Postgraduate degree (geoscience, mineral or hydrocarbon exploration etc)
- Previous GIS and geological modelling experience Previous experience of chemical processing / engineering.

The role will be based at the Company’s Geothermal Waters Plant, United Road, Redruth, TR16 5HY. Annual leave comprises 25 days’ holiday per year pro rata, plus UK Bank Holidays.
