**Job overview**:
Cleeve Primary School are looking to appoint a Child Protection and Safeguarding Officer to support in facilitating the development of safeguarding and child protection policies and training for the school. The successful applicant will monitor and review relevant policies, documentation and procedures to ensure that they are adhered to, remain current and are fit for purpose. A key element of the role will involve actively working with parents/carers and other agencies through joint planning, to ensure training and quality assurance mechanisms are in place to monitor, review and evaluate arrangements for the protection of children. This post is part time, working 20 hours per week, term time only.

**Job Requirements**:

- A relevant Level 3 qualification and recent and relevant training related to safeguarding and child protection level 2 (including E Safety)
- Experience of working with other professional multi agencies i.e. police, LA safeguarding team etc to provide co-ordinated support
- Clear understanding of the Common Assessment Framework (CAF) practice
- The ability to provide support and help for children whose behaviour/appearance may indicate a problem or who a teacher is concerned about
