- Melody Maison is a vibrant, and fast-growing on-line retailer of furniture, mirrors and home accessories, and we are looking to take on a Homewares Buyer to welcome into our superstar team.

The Melody Maison offices have a positive, engaging and generous working environment, with a close-knit team, all working together to help reach business targets and goals. We have around 30 members of staff and we are growing every day.

- **The Role**

You will be helping us reach our company goals, whilst working hard with the rest of the team to achieve new heights

We are looking for a committed member of staff who can contribute positively to that culture and who wants to develop themselves and help to grow our company, to join our fun friendly team on a part time / full time 24 - 37.5 hour basis, flexible over 3-5 days monday - friday)

We operate from a large warehouse with offices and showroom in Harworth (near Bawtry), Doncaster. Close to the Blyth A1 junction and with a bus route close by.

- **Typically, you will**
- Communications with our suppliers daily from overseas (mainly asia)
- Help with quality standards by following our procedures
- Assist in sourcing new products from abroad
- Helping to find pieces for new collections to hand to our illustrator
- Assist senior members with the admin and analysis of buying reports
- Daily admin, helping maintain stock levels, including producing orders & quotes
- Other areas which fall within the buying department which may be required
- Attend trade events where needed
- Work inline with company core values

- Previous Overseas Buying / Sourcing Experience (Essential)
- Problem Solver / solution orientated
- Experience in the Home Furniture Industry (preferred)

- You must have previous buying experience as an Assistant Buyer or in Senior Buying

- Job Type: 24 - 37.5 hours over 3/4/5 days (flexible hours available)

**Salary: £23,000 - £26,000 pro rata based on a 37.5 hour contract - depending on experience**

Start Date: ASAP

Closing Date: 20/02/2024

**Salary**: £23,000.00-£26,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 15 - 37.5 per week
