Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a **Document Controller (Hinkley C Marine Project)**to join our Regional team to work in **Avonmouth.**

**Role Purpose**:

- Member of the project Information Management team positionedwithin the Quality function;
- Accountable for the day-to-day management and submission of all controlled documentation deliverables across the various project functions / key stakeholdersthroughout the project lifecycle.

As a **Document Controller**, you will have the following accountabilities:

- Maintain the Balfour Beattydocument and information management systemsfor effectiveness and performance, ensuring compliance with regulatory/project/industry/company requirements;
- Coordinate the integration and processing of all project documentsthrough approved workflows within theelectronic document and record management system (EDRMS).Mangethe transition of project documents to the Client’s EDRMS, as required;
- Conduct independent quality assurance checks on documentation to verify the accuracy of formatting and minimum document control identification requirements;
- Assist the Information Manager/Lead Document Controllerwith the implementation of the processes, methods and controls used to managedocumentation across all key stakeholders;
- Deliver appropriate training related to document control processes, EDRMS usage and information requirements;
- Contribute towards the administration of the EDRMSto maintain a successfully functioning system at all times;
- Maintain full traceability throughout the document Lifecyle;
- Maintain and safeguard the integrity of the information stored within the electronic document and records management systems (EDRMS) and common data environments (CDEs);
- Ensure records have passed through Subject Matter Expert (SME) / Suitably Qualified and Experienced Person (SQEP) review and acceptance;
- Track, monitor and analyse data and trends related to the progress of documentation submissions in conjunction with the project master information delivery plan (MIDP) and associated task information delivery plan(s) (TIDP);
- Assist the project teams with achieving documentation objectives associated with readiness, operational activities and completion/handover requirements
- Facilitate how documents are expedited by synchronising and facilitating the flow of information between the various stakeholders;
- Ensure effective stakeholder engagement and communication throughout delivery. Use official mediums of communication as appropriate;
- Offer advice, support, technical assistance to any and all interested parties on documentation related matters.

Personal Qualities and Experience:

- Understanding of the nuclearindustry, regulatory requirements and how information requirements can influenceand impact nuclear safety.
- A self-starter with the ability to manage their own time,work with minimum supervisionand seek to add value to the function.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines in line with the programme/milestone/certification requirements.
- Advanced information technology skills
- Experience working in databases.
- Strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills -able to build and maintain strong relationships, communicate and influence at all levels.
- Contractual awareness.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
