Logistic Planner

The purpose of this job is efficient planning of production and material supply chain to satisfy Customer needs, whilst assuring most cost effective planning for the business is achieved.

Key responsibilities:
1. Receiving Customer demand and integrating into the MRP system.

2. Planning most efficient production schedules regarding labour costs and changeover times / capacity.

3. Sending vendor schedules out to the supply chain.

4. Expediting material from suppliers to assure supply chain is not disrupted.

5. Analysing and reporting to wider team supplier backorders and delays.

6. Stock management & perpetual inventory as and when required to assure stock accuracy.

7. Liaising with Customers on deliveries and internal expediting of product from production department.

8. Generating reports as necessary.

9. Working to KPI targets regarding inventory holding, efficient labour planning.

10. Supporting other functions of the Logistics department regarding holiday cover and absence.

11. Transport planning.

12. Prior experience preferable.
