**Warehouse Supervisor**

Walton Group is a rapidly growing family run catering supplies and maintenance company offering a variety of services across different departments. We have almost 40 years’ experience operating in this sector and we are looking to expand our Warehouse operations based at Dunnington, York. We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to coordinate and execute daily warehouse activities and supervise permanent staff that make up the warehouse and delivery team.

Experienced in supervision of staff and have strong organisational skills.

Understand current Health and Safety rules and ensure all staff work in a safe manner.

Be able to communicate across all staffing levels.

Valid current fork lift ticket.

**Duties.**
- Ensure contractual service levels are met through efficient running of the warehouse operation.
- Manage both colleagues and equipment resources in line with Health and Safety policies so that all operational legislative requirements are fulfilled at all times.
- Ensure that the Head of Sales and Operations is kept informed of all operational issues, in particular those that effect companies Health and Safety policy and issues which will lead to service disruption to customers.
- Brief the teams at the beginning of each shift and ensure that all relevant communication, feedback and recognition are carried out in an accurate and timely manner.
- Manage weekly stock checks.
- Train and develop operational staff in line with both customer and company requirements.
- To liaise with the customer and suppliers as required regarding operational matters.
- To ensure the timely picking and assembling of customers’ orders
- To lead by example in all aspects of the role including use of fork lift equipment
- Ensure high levels of stock integrity and minimize damage to customer’s goods.
- Be pro-active in preventing accidents and reducing hazards by ensuring that company policy and standards of housekeeping and safe working are communicated and adhered to at all times.
- Work closely with the Head of Sales and Operations and wider teams to improve warehouse processes.

**Salary**: £25000 overtime paid over 40hrs

Hours 9.00am to 5.00 pm

Pension.

20 Days holiday plus bank holidays
