The purpose of the post is to provide support to the Occupational Therapy service on the Neuro Rehabilitation Unit at Goole and District Hospital, enabling the provision of a high standard of therapeutic interventions in an inpatient and community setting.

Your role is to enable and guide patients to achieve their functional potential through exercise and activity. This would be demonstrated through the provision of assessment and treatment of patients who are inpatients on Goole Neurological Rehabilitation Unit and would support patients to maximise their functional potential long term independent management.

With your specialty knowledge of exercise and movement you will assess, plan and design a comprehensive intervention programme working very closely with the therapy staff that will meet the individual patient’s needs and goals. You would be required to monitor, evaluate and record outcomes and offer advice and support along with progressing the patient towards their identified goals.

You will work with patients in group and on an individual basis in leisure, hospital, community settings and patients own homes.
