Elective Admissions Coordinator

An exciting opportunity has arisen, for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and experienced Band 4 Elective Admissions Coordinator to join the Elective Admissions team within The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS FT, and based at **Mount Vernon Hospital site **.

The Elective Admissions Team is responsible for booking admissions and pre-operative assessments for all specialities within the Patient Access and are the first point of contact for our patients and a broad range of staff across the Trust regarding admissions.

The post holder will work in an extremely busy department booking patients for surgical procedures including but not an exhaustive list: communicating with patients, adding patients to the waiting list, ensuring that appropriate work-up has been undertaken including any diagnostic procedures, liaising with consultants and other medical professionals, booking pre-assessment appointments, compiling and checking daily admission lists and to provide a degree of cross cover for other Elective Admissions coordinators as necessary.
