The Chief Operating Office (COO) team provides support and monitors the Front Office to ensure it and the Business operates in a compliant manner. As a Know Your Client (KYC) Subject Matter Expert (SME) you will be working with the KYC SME team in Wealth Management United Kingdom (WM UK) COO.

**Your key responsibilities**
- Providing a neutral control and oversight review of new client adoptions, event driven and periodic KYC reviews (including ensuring client documentation is in place) and Anti Money Laundering (AML) approvals
- Liaising with other departments, particularly the internal Client Adoption Team (iCAT) (Account Opening team) and Anti-Financial Crime (AFC), to verify approvals, obtain information and/or guidance and participate in investigations as required including preventative crime checks, transaction monitoring and sanctions screening
- Acting as an interface between the offshore booking centres and the front office to filter/disseminate requests or mediate between the relevant parties as required
- Attending meetings where issues need to be reported
- Escalating issues to Stakeholders as required

**Your skills and experience**
- Good understanding of the UK Anti-Money Laundering regulations and regulatory environment
- Good working knowledge of Wealth Management and UK and Offshore Platforms
- Able to liaise with Group Infrastructure Functions - Compliance, Legal, AFC as required/ necessary
- An understanding of investments (but not essential)
- Detail-oriented and willing to challenge the status-quo
- Effective communicator
