**Purpose of Role**

To assist in the completion of work on all projects on all sites as needed and to keep yard and all workspaces clean and tidy and to work to a high standard, safely and efficiently.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- To sling the loads professionally and safely
- To give clear instructions to crane driver and other personnel involved in lifts
- To operate a crane professionally and safely
- To operate a forklift professionally and safely
- To operate a MEWP professionally and safely
- To operate the Kamag professionally and safely
- To operate the Vac lift safely
- To segregate waste and place in designated skips
- To assist in the docking / undocking of ships
- To maintain the forklift with daily / weekly checks
- To maintain the Cranes with daily / weekly checks
- To complete a Powsa or Polsa for all tasks
- To behave professionally whilst liaising with customers, sub-contractors and work colleagues
- To assist in the upkeep of safety and cleanliness of the yard
- To provide tuition to colleagues
- To maintain cleanliness of the pump rooms/workshops/facility
- To manage the skips and liaise closely with A&P North east procurement ensuring empty skips are always available
- Manage the oil farm ensuring waste oil is removed when required
- Ensure Docks remain dry when ships are docked
- As an employee of A&P North east you are expected to familiarize yourself with the company’s Integrated Management System Policy and to work in accord with its requirements

**Secondary Responsibilities**
- To assist in the cleanliness of the dock bottom
- To assist in the hosing down of the dock bottom
- Ensure diesel plants are always full of diesel
- Maintain and fit fire hoses
- Undertake Store duties when required
- To assist with the dock preparations
- To remove and fit drain plugs and tank lids
- To assist in the providing the customers & sub-contractors steel plate from the fabrication shed
- To assist maintenance when required
- To provide first aid when required
- To act as fire warden when required
- To act as incident controller as required in an evacuation situation

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £12.88 per hour
