Despatch Operative

**Sunday to Wednesday 10:00am-21:00pm (Permanent ROTA)**
- PLEASE NOTE (Training will take place 06.30am-17.30pm before moving on permanent rota)_
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Accurately select items from inventory based on customer orders or internal requisitions. Ensure proper packaging and labelling of items for shipment.
- Conduct inspections to verify the quality and condition of goods before dispatch. Report any discrepancies or damages to supervisors.
- Assist in maintaining organised and tidy warehouse spaces.
- Prepare outgoing shipments for carriers, ensuring compliance with shipping regulations and documentation requirements.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to fulfil orders and resolve any issues related to shipping, inventory discrepancies, or customer inquiries.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred.
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles and procedures.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks safely.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods and documentation.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
