Job Purpose

This role is covering the Click and Collect area of the stores, and will involve serving our click and collect customers, picking transport orders, and helping to assist in loading and offloading vehicles, while also doing customer collection calls in the down time.

Driving license essential / Use of computer typing skills also essential
- Assists with providing and managing a safe, efficient, reliable and cost effective equipment delivery and collection service for the Company and our Customers.
- Assist with planning and organizing of the routing of deliveries and collections to meet the required business and customer requirements.
- Leading, developing and motivating a team to ensure daily schedules are met and adhered to.
- Promote teamwork between colleagues across all HSS locations, to ensure delivery of an effective transport service.
- Coach and motivate Drivers to ensure the best level of internal and external customer service is provided.
- Ensure compliance with transport policies, procedures and legislation (eg Tachograph, Towing, ADR regulations).
- Work closely with the Transport Manager and peers to ensure the best level of service is provided to the business and our customers.
- Ensure the vehicle fleet is effectively utilized by managing Jobs per Vehicle to exceed company transport performance targets.
- Ensure compliance with all systems, procedures and processes.
- Resolve queries and complaints effectively and courteously.
- Represent the company and values of the business and portray a professional and business like image to all customers, potential customers and other people we may meet in the course of our work.
- Being a key driver in serious about safety by leading from the front.
- Ensure all locations and company vehicles are maintained to our brand.

Experience in this field would be an advantage although not essential as full training will be provided.
