**Are you a Security Officer based around the Basingstoke area?**

We are recruiting a highly competent and professional **Security Officer to join our Hampshire Patrol and Response Team**. You will be responsible for carrying out targeted and responsive patrols to assist a range of functions for our clients, including carrying out lock-up duties, proactively patrolling estates, supporting lone workers and responding to alarm events.

Patrol and Response Officers are key frontline team members, reporting to the Regional Operations Officer. You will be typically vehicle-based, deploying from Basingstoke and carrying out various duties throughout a typical 10-hour shift.

**Responsibilities**
- Proactively patrol the assigned premises, internally and externally.
- Lock up and alarm the clients’ premises in accordance with assignment instructions, ensuring all exits, doors and windows are appropriately secured.
- Promptly challenge trespassers and facilitate the safe removal of the same, reporting the same on an incident report.
- Proactively and promptly respond to support colleagues and react to observed threats or alarm activations.
- Investigate suspicious activity, persons and vehicles of interest, sharing information with colleagues, HR, management and the police, as appropriate.
- Maintain appropriate records and detailed accounts of incidents.
- Challenge, apprehend, detain and, where appropriate, arrest suspects and liaise with the police to preserve evidence, prepare statements and file incident reports.
- Assist stakeholders as appropriate.
- Act as an Ambassador for the Company, maintaining high standards of driving and professional behaviour.

**Requirements and Skills**

- Frontline SIA licence in Security Guarding, Door Supervision or Close Protection
- Full driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points
- First Aid at Work qualification
- At least one year’s experience as a security officer
- Familiarity and competence in report writing
- Ability to work confidently alone or as part of a team
- Live within a 45-minute drive of Basingstoke

Please note that, as part of our vetting and onboarding procedures, you will be required to:

- Declare any adverse credit history, including CCJs, IVAs, and bankruptcies;
- Pass a probationary period of 3-months and satisfy the necessary training requirements within 6-months

As a Security Patrol and Response Officer, you will be a critical member of our frontline team, responsible for protecting what matters for our clients. You will earn a competitive salary starting from **£26,000** **(equivalent to £12.50 per hour), **assuming a **40-hour **average working week, with opportunities for overtime and performance enhancements - depending on your assignment. You will enjoy 5.6 weeks annual leave, Aviva Pension and Westfield Health participation.

We pay on the 28th of each month but have partnered with Wagestream, as we appreciate that life doesn't always wait around for payday. Wagestream gives you early access to some pay for hours worked before the end of the month or in increments - rather than in a lump - to spread the load.

**What is the shift pattern, and how many hours?**

Your standard working hours will be based on a four-on, four-off shift rotation, working an average of 40 hours per week, typically **10-hour shifts**, including weekends and bank holidays.
