**About The Pin**

We’re a new, indoor entertainment golf venue located at the Hale Leys shopping center, with access onto Long Lional. Think Topgolf indoors. We have two golf simulators running Awesome Golf entertainment and practice systems, and a small bar.

Our customers are a combination of golfers wanting to practice, and small to medium sized groups looking for something exciting to do for a day or evening out.

**In Short**

We are looking for an experienced, energetic host for our indoor golf venue in Aylesbury. The right person will be competent, engaging and independent with good experience behind a bar. Ideally we want someone with an interest in golf/Topgolf who can engage with customers.

**Responsibilities**

Your responsibilities during working hours will revolve around serving customers at the bar, and walking them through how to use the entertainment systems. It is however a varied role with these other important duties:

- Keeping track of stock sold, and preparing stock order lists. We’d love someone to take an active interest in the products and recommend things for the buying lists too.
- Inducting customers and showing them how to use the simulator systems. We want someone to make recommendations and ensure customers get the most out of their visit.
- General bar maintenance. Making sure the area is safe and tidy with products facing forwards. This also involves running cycles on the glasswasher and restocking fridges.
- Proactively interacting with customers, asking for drinks orders rather than waiting to be asked. Making conversation and encouraging walk-in visitors to book.
- Setting up and closing down the venue before and after shifts. Ensuring the venue is ready to trade before customers arrive.

**Must-have Skills**
- Bar experience
- Front of house/retail experience
- Confidence and communication skills
- An outgoing, proactive approach
- Comfortable working alone and as a pair

**Desirable Extras**
- An interest in golf
- Sales experience
- Social media experience

**Compensation & Hours**

We’re looking for someone to cover the following hours:
Sundays: 11:30 - 23:30

There will also be the opportunity for other shifts available as and when cover is needed, along with special events as and when booked.

We’re offering **£11.00/hour** for any hours worked.

**Other Perks**

As part of working at The Pin, you’re entitled to use the simulators for personal practice as much as desired during the hours when they are not booked by customers.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Aylesbury, HP201ST: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Hospitality / Retail: (preferred)
- Bar experience (required)
- Cocktail bar tending (preferred)
- preexisting Golf knowledge (preferred)

**Job Types**: Part-time, Temporary contract, Zero hours contract
