Energy Recovery Facilities are vital in supporting the UK’s ambition to reduce waste in an efficient and effective manner, helping to reduce the impact of waste on climate change. After reducing, reusing and recycling as much as possible, our Energy Recovery Facilities (ERFs) provide the infrastructure to efficiently recover energy from residual waste, meaning landfill becomes the last resort.

We have an opportunity for a Maintenance Shift Supervisor to join our Energy Recovery Facility at the Glasgow RREC Plant, working 42.5 hours per week in shift patterns.

Reporting to the Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient execution of the maintenance plan across all assets at the plant, whilst providing support to other disciplines as necessary.

The Maintenance Shift Supervisor will be the Engineering contact for out of hours’ issues and will maintain a close liaison with the Operations Department.

- Solid understanding of Engineering processes and equipment within the Waste Environment.
- Understanding of Environmental and H&S issues and their impacts.
- Ability to work without supervision, think logically and solve problems effectively and efficiently.
- Experiencing in engineering of process industry or power plants, and Computerised Maintenance Management systems.
- Possess appropriate technical qualifications City & Guilds / NVQ )or equivalent) including a recognised apprenticeship.
