Due to increased business growth, APEM's Flight Operations Team are searching for a Flight Operations Coordinator to join us as we expand

Our Flight Operations Team are a key component to the successful running of our Data Operations function within our Geospatial sector. This team works closely with our internal Aerial Survey teams, data operations and external providers to deliver high quality aerial surveys.

As part of this role, you will handle operations for offshore windfarms for onshore remote sensing. Training and support will be provided to you. This is a great opportunity for somebody with aviation experience or who is keen to get involved in this industry, to join this expanding team. There may also be opportunity to work on international flight operations and liaising with teams oversees.

You will be involved in some exciting work including coordinating external aircraft providers, ensuring the installation of cameras, conducting flight watch/flight tracking of survey crews and maintaining of all survey safety and in-flight equipment and Monitoring and scheduling maintenance of PPE for the Aerial Task Specialist team.

**About the role**

The purpose of this role is to act as a point of contact and provide operational support between APEM and our aircraft providers, ensuring that our Flight Operations run smoothly. You will be dispatching plans for the aerial surveys, sending out weekly survey plans and allocating these plans to the camera technicians.

The role will provide daily support to our Flight Operations Managers, report and escalate any operational incidents, monitor the welfare of our Aerial Survey Task Specialist team and ensure our aerial surveys are successfully completed within their target delivery dates.

Carrying out ad hoc jobs that require dedicated attention some of these jobs will include risk assessments, completing pro-formas and chasing for insurance and information from aircraft providers. There is a focus on weather checking, and organisation plays a key part to this role.

Working to a roster pattern for weekdays, weekends and public holidays will be required, with early start times alongside some out of hours work in the evening is necessary.

Please note, this is an office-based position based in our Chester office.

**About you**

As a Flight Operations Coordinator you will be dedicated and open to the requirements of this position. Ensuring that you are always contactable during all hours when surveys are being flown, if you are uncontactable during the period that surveys are taking place, it will be your responsibility to provide cover.

Due to the nature of this role, you must be organised and methodological. A qualification in any related fields would be desirable, this may include aviation, ecology or previous experience in environmental consultancy.
