We'd like you to join us as a Support Worker at our Blackburn Road service in Great Harwood.

Supporting adults with a diagnosed mental health condition Blackburn Road is purposely small residential service with a homely feel and environment to ensure everyone feels comfortable and at home

Our primary aim is to help individuals improve to a point where they no longer need to stay within our service. We don’t just focus on self-care and daily living skills, we look at building confidence through the learning of new skills and encouraging the trying out of new hobbies and activities.

**What you'll be working**:
Night staff 20.00-8.30am.

**What you'll be doing**:
**As a Support Worker you will**:

- Build relationships with residents, which are open and two way
- Support residents to undertake their rehabilitation programme
- Establish methods of communication with residents, reducing barriers when necessary
- Assist residents with mealtimes where necessary
- Support with activities of daily living when needed
- Communicate any issues to the clinical team
- Accurately report and/or record work activities

**What you'll have**:

- ** **A genuine interest in providing the best person centre care possible for our residents
- The ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Experience working within the care sector / mental health would be an advantage but not essential
