Doggy Daycare Supervisor

Happy Hounds Training Academy Ltd is a 5* licenced and multi-award winning Doggy Daycare and Training Facility based in Moreton.

We are seeking a positive and proactive individual to undertake the full-time role of Daycare supervisor within our busy Daycare and training academy. Reporting to the Senior manager & Business director, the Daycare Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the care of up to 50 dogs a day and will assist in the support & development of our Daycare Assistant team.

**Role and responsibilities**
- To create a positive, engaging environment for both the dogs & staff. Going above and beyond to ensure the team feel motivated and supported within their roles.
- To oversee dog management throughout the day, ensuring playtime is safe & arousal levels are kept to a minimum.
- Provide daily care and enrichment for the dogs, as well as being able to identify specific needs depending on age, temperament and energy levels.
- To assist with our social media page, posting appropriate photo & video content of our daily activities.
- Keeping the unit clean and tidy, removing urine and dog waste immediately with mops and poo bags and completing/overseeing other tasks which are set on the designated cleaning rotas.
- Be confident carrying out a behavioural assessment/introduction for new dogs coming into Daycare and providing progress feedback to owners on collection.
- To assist with the opening and closing of the unit and handling any reception duties that come with it. This will include taking note of future bookings, keeping an accurate record of cash payments, and making sure new clients possess all the correct booking forms & vaccination records for their dogs first day.
- Building a rapport with our clients during drop off & pick ups, be willing to offer behavioural guidance & if required, break difficult news in a professional manner.
- Liaising closely with the senior manager, keeping them up to date with any behavioural or welfare concerns throughout the day.
- The training of new staff when required, making them aware of our standard operating procedures and how we implement safe working practices whilst on shift.
- Be willing to contribute to new ideas to Daycare and bring a fresh approach to our daily enrichment routines.

**Requirements**:

- Essential_
- Have completed or be working towards an animal related qualification.
- Have previous experience of supervising/managing a small team
- Be physically fit and be happy to work in all weather conditions. You will be expected to stood on your feet for long periods of time
- Advantageous_
- Canine first aid trained.
- Experience within a customer service/reception based role
