- Minimum WagePonderosa Zoo is looking for a new animal keeper to join the team here in Heckmondwike, West Yorkshire. We keep over 120 animals ranging from Scottish Wildcats to Reindeer. We are continually evolving, and this is an exciting opportunity to join the team of an expanding zoo.

We are asking for at least 1 years’ paid experience working in a zoo environment as well as an animal related qualification. Good time keeping, positive attitude and being a team player are essential to this role. This role is physically demanding so you must be physically fit to effectively carry out the zoo keeping tasks.

A full UK’s driver’s license is desirable, but not essential.

You will work 34 hours per week (4 days) including bank holidays and weekends.
