**Duties and responsibilities**:
Support the Identity and Trust Management Product Owner in developing and maintaining a clear strategy, security objectives, plans, policies, and metrics, working under broad direction and often self-initiating it, with full responsibility for meeting allocated technical and/or project/supervisory objectives, establishing milestones and assigning tasks and/or responsibilities as required. Work as part of a delivery team using best practice agile ways of working (agile, squads), moving away from project-based delivery models, delivering against defined release and benefits plans, making decisions which impact the success of assigned work, in respect to results, deadlines and budget. Have a significant influence over the allocation and management of resources appropriate to given assignments. Pro-actively provides expert level specialist advice on identity and access management to ICT and the wider College.

Identify and addresses additional service requirements or service shortfalls, working with the delivery team to address these when required, analysing, designing, planning, executing and evaluating work to time, cost and quality targets.

Identify enhancements to maximise service quality, efficiency and continuity in collaboration with the Identity and Trust Product Owner. Generate original ideas and innovative solutions through the provision of specialist know-how and advice as appropriate, influencing stakeholders on the contribution of own specialism. Work across Shared Services groups to directly provide expert level identity and trust management input in the delivery of new products, leading on user/customer collaboration throughout all stages of work and ensuring users’ needs are met consistently through each work stage.

Promote and works by the ethos “reuse before buy” and “buy before build” to benefit multiple times from single investments, being fully familiar with recognised industry bodies of knowledge both generic and specific. Promote the central Identity and Trust service to all College customers through a myriad of communication channels in collaboration with ICT Communications staff.

**Essential requirements**:
Education
- Degree or equivalent, preferably computer technology-related or comparable.

Experience
- Practical experience working as an Identity and Trust Management Specialist within a medium or large organisation.
- Experience of delivering and maintaining Identity and Trust Management solutions within medium or large organisations.
- Extensive hands-on experience working as an Identity and Trust Management Specialist within a medium or large organisation.

- Experience of development and innovation utilising Agile or iterative project techniques and methodologies, ideally with certification.
- Experience of engaging with and influencing a wide range of stakeholders and senior managers, from within ICT, departments and faculties across the wider college and externally, including other HE organisations and suppliers
- Demonstrable experience of delivering services that meet business needs and are delivered
- in accordance with agreed business requirements, and managing the full-service lifecycle.

Knowledge
- Knowledge of a broad range of current and emerging ICT technologies and business processes, delivery models, principles and practice.
- Understanding of the compliance and governance requirements in ID management.
- An understanding of regulatory requirements, risk management practices, cybersecurity frameworks (e.g. NIST), and best-practice approaches for the management and delivery of cybersecurity and identity functions.
- Good understanding of networking technologies and emerging trends in networking.
- Knowledge of IT product management and the development lifecycle.

- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead others and persuasively communicate complex technical information effectively to a diverse range of stakeholders, including those without a technical background.
- Strong research and analytical skills to track and predict IT technology trends.
- Strong business acumen and a good understanding of general business processes and practises.
- Able to create a collaborative working environment, encouraging and enabling all team members to contribute and deliver to their full potential.
