**Accounts Assistant / Sales Ledger Clerk**

**Newport**

**Permanent Salary: £24,000 (DOE)**

My client is a rapidly expanding organisation based in the Newport area. Due to growth and an increased demand in their services they are recruiting for an experienced Accounts Assistant / Sales Ledger clerk to join their team on a permanent basis.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Raise sales invoices, ensuring all sales invoices are created accurately
- Resolve any identified problems with customer accounts
- Match all paperwork to relevant invoices for accurate processing
- Process customer orders and invoices
- Record receipts through bank accounts and post receipts to the nominal ledger
- Prepare banking of cheques
- Allocate receipts to the sales ledger
- Purchase ledger processing for holiday and sickness cover

**Personality Specification**:

- Hard working and happy to roll up your sleeves and support the finance team
- Sales ledger/credit control experience preferred
- AAT studier
- Good communication skills and the ability to build strong customer relationships
- Enthusiastic and happy to learn

Hours are Monday - Thursday 9.00am - 5.00pm and Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm. The role will be office based and after your probationary period there may be the opportunity for more of a flexible working approach (1 day a week from home)
