Hive Healthcare are recruiting Care Assistants to work at Twisel Lodge
- an 8 bedded residential home in Holywood for residents with Learning Disability and Complex needs.

Pay
- £10.42 per hour. £11.81 for additional hours.

Hours
- Full Time Days
- 3x 12 hour shifts. 8am-8pm. One full weekend OFF in three. Shift rota to be discussed at interview. Flexibility required to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist residents with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting, while promoting independence and dignity.
- Support residents with learning disabilities in their daily activities, including meal preparation, household chores, and recreational activities.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering positive relationships and social connections.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring that all support is person-centred and promotes the well-being of residents.
- Monitor and record residents' progress, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate staff members.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents, adhering to health and safety regulations and infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to ensure the holistic care needs of residents are met.

**Essential Criteria**:

- 6 months experience working in a care environment
- preferably residential setting.
- Awareness of the needs of people with learning and physical disabilities.
- Compassionate and empathetic nature
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
