Contract type: Permanent
Due to continued success and growth, a Commercial Design & Build business in Reading is seeking a Finance Manager with current CIS (Construction Industry Scheme Tax) knowledge.
The Finance Manager will oversee two Finance Assistants and report into the Financial Controller. The Finance Manager will be responsible for the daily running of the finance team (team meetings, delegation of work, checking and approving payments) and preparingthe monthly management accounts for one entity (P&L, Balance Sheet, Variances, Cost Reporting/WIP, VAT Returns and CIS Returns).
Recent Construction/CIS knowledge is essential.
JOB DESCRIPTION - Finance Manager:
- Manage 2 Finance Assistants;
- Checking and Approving payment runs;
- Ensuring integrity of data/bank details on bank line;
- Daily transfers from CRM to Sage 50;
- Oversee and review CIS Returns & deal with CIS queries;
- Oversee processing of expense claims;
- Ensure sales invoices have been raised timely;
- Preparation of monthly Management Accounts;
- VAT quarterly returns for 3 Ltd companies;
- Intercompany invoicing and reconciliation;
- Payroll journal posting and reconciliation;
- Processing quarterly commissions payments;
- Helping with the month end process, Accruals and Prepayments;
- P11D and PSA returns;
- Stepping up when the Financial Controller is on leave or as and when required;
PERSON SPECIFICATION - Finance Manager:
- Part Qualified, Qualified or Qualified by Experience
- Recent Construction Industry experience
- Up-to-date knowledge of the Construction Industry Tax Scheme (CIS)
- Advanced Excel skills - Vlookups, pivot tables
