All ‘The Gap Christian Family centre’ (hereby called the Charity) staff are expected to demonstrate the charity’s values by working positively as part of a team delivering vital high-quality services to those accessing the charity to create a working culture where all are valued and encouraged.

**Thematic Service Area**.

The GAP Christian Family Centre has 5 Thematic Areas that individually and collectively provide projects and services on behalf of the charity to local communities and beneficiaries of the charity. Time2buildup aims to empower individuals through volunteering and student placements.

**Main Purpose of Job**

1. The Time2buildup Lead is funded for 4 years by the Community Fund.

2. The Time2buildup Lead will collaboratively work with the Core Leadership Team to manage and develop the resources, services and projects of The Gap Christian Family Centre.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**

1. **Management and Development**
- Developing and implementing the agreed operational plan for the thematic area.
- Recruiting, Training, and retaining volunteers to suit the organisations needs.
- Develop and record volunteers progression and pathways to next steps or employment, particularly in relation to lottery funding targets/outcomes.
- Develop and maintain connection with stakeholders in relation to student placements and work experience.
- Oversee and develop the charity’s Community offer in line with funding requirements, Core Leadership requests and Our Community needs.
- Development of charity’s Digital Presence
- Collectively with the leadership team actively raise the profile of the charity.
- To be a role model and nurture the organisation’s culture.

**2. Safeguarding**
- To collectively implement the organsation’s Safeguarding manual
- To develop robust policy and procedures for safeguarding regarding volunteers and student placement

**3. Health and Safety**
- To collectively implement the organsation’s Health & Safety manual.

**4. Human Resources**
- To line manage staff within the Time2buildup Thematic Service.
- To lead line management of volunteers and Student placements across the organisation
- **Monitoring and Reporting**
- To gather and monitoring information on a regular basis, and to prepare and present reports both written and verbal as required.
- **General**
- Ensure that all responsibilities are undertaken in an effective and appropriate manner which meets the requirements of the charity.
- Seek continuous improvement in order that the charity delivers the best possible service to those that access the charity.
- Undertake such training and attend such training courses as reasonably required by the company to enable you to perform your duties.
- Participate in regular supervisions and annual appraisals with the CEO.
- Ensure that all charity policy and procedures are always adhered to.
- Work in accordance with the charity’s culture, values, aims and objectives.
- Act as a positive ambassador for the charity always.
- Undertake any duties that may be reasonably required from time to time.
- Acknowledging the need for professional sharing of information with relevant parties the Time2buildup Lead is required to maintain strict confidentially of information conveyed to them by the Chairperson, Board of Directors, those accessing the charity, staff, and external organisations.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 48 months

**Salary**: £12.99 per hour

**Experience**:

- Project Management: 2 years (preferred)
