We are currently **seeking **a full time **SEN Teaching Assistant/Carer **to join one of our SEN School/ home **Based on a beautiful 23 acre site on the edge of Cranleigh,Surrey Hills**.

A Teaching Assistant with Care Duties is v**ery different from a mainstream TA position**. During the school week, you will be supporting students, age 5-19, with severe social communication difficulties, complex learning disabilities and often challenging behaviours to access therapy based education. Outside school time, you will be supporting our young people to aspire to independence through the development of life-skills.

You will be trained to develop the skills and confidence to help some of society’s most vulnerable individuals to achieve their potential and to prepare them for adult life. Some of our students may need personal care. You don’t need experience to apply. You do need empathy and compassion, physical and mental resilience and the drive to make a real difference to the lives of our young people.

**Teaching Assistants
- Responsibilities**:

- supporting students, age 5-19, with severe social communication difficulties, complex learning disabilities and often challenging behaviours
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities
- Provide one-on-one support to students with special education needs
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other staff members
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Assist in classroom management and behavior support
- Provide tutoring and additional support to students who require extra assistance
