The Howden Major Account Development and Bid Management team was set up in early 2020 to help support the Group’s continued growth and expansion into new territories and specialty sectors. We are currently a team of 6 Bid Managers and 2 Creative Designers. Within the Bid Design team we manage the requirements of the business with regards to the design and presentation of all bid documentation, including pre and post tender both within the bid team and in conjunction with our international offices. We work mainly within Word and PowerPoint utilising Adobe CC (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects) where required.

Creative Accountability
- Producing high quality Word/PowerPoint documentation for Bids and as part of the overall pitch project (Tenders/Client meetings/Reports) and to the wider company.
- Work in conjunction with the Bid Design Specialist, Bid Managers and all stakeholders responsible for the delivery of the tender to ensure that each tender is tailored specifically to the requirements of the business, depending on the nature of the tender.
- Adhere to the brand guidelines of Howden.
- Be creative, with an eye for good design.

Co-ordinating and manage the output of final files
- Finalise the formatting of the document for both soft and hard copy.
- Liaise with external print providers.
- Take responsibility for proofing documents.

Skills and abilities needed to perform role
- Proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel with a general understanding of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat.
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge.
- Able to prioritise a varied workload.
- Work well under pressure and to strict deadlines.
- Be able to follow a design brief closely and accurately.
- Be flexible and able to adapt quickly to new creative briefs.
- Work methodically and pay attention to detail, selecting and editing formatting, such as the size and style of type, column width and spacing, selecting and checking colours.
- Editing photographs and other branded imagery.
- Producing graphics such as diagrams, charts and tables.
- Be able to work independently as well as within a team with good communication skills.
- Preferably two years’ experience working Corporate Environment
- Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design desirable
