**Description**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Maintain the area HGV vehicles to comply with documented service requirements, always ensuring road worthiness and regulatory compliance.** **Including scheduling of 6-week, MOT inspections, fault diagnosis and repair
- Coordinate and supervise a range of contractors.
- Manage the workshop team. Define, facilitate and manage the team’s training and development needs.
- Promote, facilitate, and maintain the Highest level of Health, safety and environmental standards in alignment with the Breedon policies.
- Ensure the Workshop and associated facilities are maintained and comply with all regulatory standards
- Work with other business units on site to maintain a high level of HSEQ compliance.
- Liaise with the area Transport Manager and report on vehicle status effectively.
- Cost control of the workshop expenditure, working with agreed authority levels.
- Drive efficiency in practices and procedures in line with Breedon sustainability goals.

**Skills, Knowledge & Expertise**:

- You will be self-motivated and can work on your own or as part of a team.
- Be available to work flexible working patterns.
- You will also have a willingness to learn and be a good communicator.
- A relevant qualification (City & Guilds/ NVQ) in HGV Maintenance & Repair is essential.
- Full, valid UK Driving licence is essential and HGV licence is desirable.
- Computer Literacy Skills inc. the use of Microsoft office, Findocs, SHE Assure, Asset go and jaltest software.
