**Job Description**:
Fresh Direct are currently recruiting for a Trainee Management Accountant to join the team on a full time, permanent basis. This role reports directly to the Fresh Direct Finance Manager but also supporting the Fresh Direct Finance Director, Sysco GB Financial Controller, Finance team, Internal Departments and the Sysco GB Group.

This role is offering hybrid working, requiring 1 day per week in either the Bicester or Ashford office, so ideally you will be located near one of these.

**Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities**
- Central Departments Month End, Cost Control and Forecasting covering the following areas, including utilising Workday as the businesses planning tool:

- Commercial & Marketing
- Finance
- Admin
- Merchandising
- Payroll accounting, including attendance at Payroll Continuous Improvement forums
- Ad Hoc bank payments
- emergency cover.
- Reporting into Group Consolidation System (BPC)
- Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations via Cadency Trintech tool
- Supplier Rebates - working closely with the Commercial Finance & Procurement teams to ensure effective controls
- Intercompany Payables & Receivables reconciliation and support
- External & Internal Audit support
- Annual Statutory Accounts support
- Ad hoc project support in a Transformational environment

**About you**:
You will be AAT qualified or studying towards your ACA/ACCA/CIMA with previous experience within a finance position looking to join a global organisation as part of your career development. We are looking for someone who has the confidence to deal with stakeholders at all levels across the business and to challenge decisions in a constructive way, offering solutions to any problems, always ensuring the best outcome is achieved. You will be resilient, flexible and ensure confidentiality is maintained when working with sensitive data. Using your finance knowledge and experience you will be able to explain financial matters to non-financial people and can think clearly under pressure and work to tight deadlines. Microsoft Excel experience and experience with ERP systems is also required.
