Bid Ranger

SWL Security services are looking to recruit a security officer to support a multitude of retail sites in the Broadmead BID area on a 40hrs a week contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with an SIA Approved Contractor in a specialist role genuinely bridging the gap between businesses, communities and the Police. Your role will include visiting businesses and organisations within the Broadmead Business improvement District area to assist in dealing with and reporting low level volume crime on their behalf as well as assisting local community policing teams in deterring drug related crime and anti-social behaviour.

As an SWL BID Ranger you'll work in partnership with the communities you serve to maintain law and order, protect members of the public and their property, prevent crime, reduce the fear of crime and improve the quality the public's experience when visiting the area. You'll use a range of technology to protect individuals, identify the perpetrators of crime and ensure successful prosecutions against those who break the law.

**Job Type**: 40hrs per week

**Salary**: £11.51 /hour

Licence types required for role:

- SIA Licence Security Guarding
- SIA Licence Door Supervisor
- SIA Licence Close Protection

Other Requirement’s:

- Five Year checkable employment / education history for vetting purposes.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer / technology skills
- Previous experience in working in the retail environment is preferred.
- Previous law enforcement experience is advantageous.

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Weekend availability
