Front of House Assistant

Our investment client is looking for a FOH assistant to deliver 5* service to their professional clients and join their friendly Edinburgh city centre-based team. This would particularly be suited for a person who has hospitality experience but is now looking to move onto an office-based environment.

**Salary**: £24,805 per year

Hours: 40 hours per week between 7:30am - 7pm Monday to Friday. (Occasional cover of evening events required until 9pm)

Location: Office based, Edinburgh City centre

Required:

- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Hospitality experience (preferably from a corporate background)
- Reception experience (preferably from a corporate background) would be beneficial but not essential.
- Switchboard experience preferred but not essential.
- Experience making reservations beneficial.
- Be self-motivated.
- Good organisational skills and time management
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise.
- Ability to deliver 5* service.
- Positive attitude
- Presentable appearance
- Initiative
- Confident using outlook/word and excel.
- Must be aware of all health and Safety/Food safety and COSH.

Daily Duties:

- Meeting and Greeting Clients
- Booking conference rooms worldwide for clients and internal staff
- Answering switchboard calls
- Connecting Video Conference calls for clients
- Booking taxis for clients
- Making sure all client meeting rooms are always kept clean and tidy.
- Managing a busy shared inbox
- General porterage duties, this will include setting up meeting rooms which involves heavy lifting, delivery of flip charts and setting up catering tables.
- Setting up events by reconfiguring meeting areas
- Providing weekly reports for the FOH Manager
- General administration duties as required.
- Any ad hoc duties/responsibilities required by the Front of House Manager

Will be required to Cover Kitchen Staff Holidays, day to day tasks would include but not be limited to:

- Setting up meeting rooms across 4 floors with Teas Coffees and water as and when required
- Topping up 8 drinks stations daily with Tea/Coffee/Sugar/Milk twice a day and maintaining stock levels
- Upkeep of Free Vend Black & White Coffee Machine ensuring that its constantly topped up and cleaned daily.
- Arranging catering for meetings
- Prepare and serve lunches.
- Preparing and Printing Menus
- Updating weekly stock sheets
- Ordering stock
- Maintaining daily Cleaning/Temperature/stock records
- Cleaning Kitchen/Coffee Machine and Vending Machine
- General administration duties as required.
- Any ad hoc duties/responsibilities required by the Front of House Manager
