Come and join our ever-expanding team of clinicians here at FCMS Urgent and Emergency Care Doncaster We currently have a range of Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Advanced Clinical Practitioners and Emergency Care Practitioners delivering high quality care to the people of Doncaster 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The population of Doncaster now exceed 300,000 with a large variety of acute medical conditions our ECP Service offers autonomous clinicians who can assess, diagnose, and treat in the community. Where needed we have created strong links with our local trust to ensure referrals into hospital are streamline, working to avoid A&E admissions, if possible, by utilising the same day emergency care pathways. **Main Duties of the Job**:
Ø Provide expert clinical history taking, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plans in line with local policies and NICE.

Ø Give clear and concise communication to colleagues and service users.

Ø Provide clinical supervision within the team to develop individual clinical skills and share learning experiences.

Ø Liaise with secondary care providers as appropriate via pathways if applicable.

Ø Practice safely and effectively with the patients’ best interest at the core, work within own limitations and seek expert help and advice when needed.

Ø Work within the four pillars of the advanced practice framework.

Ø Practice autonomously as an independent practitioner, assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with the utmost dignity and respect regardless of the presentation.

Ø Provide advanced clinical skills, demonstrating sound understanding and advice relating to the treatment and management plan in line with local and national policies.

Ø The Clinician will work within the parameters of their non-medical prescribing legislation.

Ø Ensure all mandatory training is up to date and have willingness to develop with further CPD.

Ø Maintain a portfolio of evidence.

Ø Support the senior management team and clinical manager with service improvement, audits, research, and evidence-based practice. Contributing to the Clinical Governance agenda.

Ø Teaching and supporting professional colleagues and the provision of professional leadership.

Ø Act in accordance with the NMC/HCPC.

Ø Provide professional and clinical advice within the multi-disciplinary team.

**Role**

Ø Provide expert clinical history taking, assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plans in line with local policies and NICE.

Ø Give clear and concise communication to colleagues and service users.

Ø Provide clinical supervision within the team to develop individual clinical skills and share learning experiences.

Ø Liaise with secondary care providers as appropriate via pathways if applicable.

Ø Practice safely and effectively with the patients’ best interest at the core, work within own limitations and seek expert help and advice when needed.

**The post holder will**:
Ø Engage with telephone triage

Ø Provide face to face clinical assessments

Ø Demonstrate flexible working in line with the need of the service, including working in surgery

Ø Safe prescribing in line with NICE guidance and local anti-microbial guidelines

Ø Escalate and discuss any clinical concerns with senior clinicians and the clinical manager
