**What aspects are involved in this role?**

We are currently looking for a Gatehouse Administrator to join our busy warehousing team. In this role, you will be expected to be the first point of contact for all onsite traffic, managing the flow around our site. In addition, you will warmly greet all visitors and ensure site access procedures are maintained. The role is critical within the business and requires someone who is accurate and precise in the way that they operate.

**Purpose of the job**:
Ensure a smooth and organised flow of traffic through the site, whilst maintaining safety and quality standards through high quality communication with visitors, contractors, drivers and internal stakeholders.

**Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- Ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to, including PPE, escalating any concerns to your line manager at the earliest opportunity.
- Perform visitor and contractor inductions, making anyone that comes to site feel welcomed and informed.
- Creation of picking orders in line with customer requirements and detailed instructions for warehouse colleagues to complete accurate picks.

**The Person**:

- Minimum 2years experience within an SME manufacturing business would be beneficial.
- He/she will show they have a professional and courteous attitude, with excellent interpersonal skills and a highly organised approach to their work.
- Enthusiastic, energetic person with great phone manner.
- Has a 'can do' positive attitude, a cheerful self-starter and can think on his/her feet.
- Independent and self-motivated, confident using initiative to deliver results.
- Ability to prioritise and manage own workload.
- Strong track record in a relevant administrative role that provides a solid understanding of the logistics/warehousing.
- Educated to GCSE or equivalent in English and Math’s.
- Computer literate, with a good understanding of Microsoft Office software.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £11.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
