Financial Accountant

Are you an experienced Financial Accountant looking for their next challenge?I am delighted to be working alongside a reputable and rapidly expanding client in their search for a new person for their finance team, based from their offices just North ofHuntingdon, Cambridgeshire.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role offers real potential for future career progression for the right person, you will be responsible for supporting the finance function, by taking the lead on preparation of annual and statutory accounts,quarterlyforecasts and leading the annual audit.
You will be responsible for a varied role, which includes:
- Preparing monthly financial accounts
- Producng the monthly financial reporting pack, working closely with the Management Accountant
- Lead accounting for overseas subsidiaries, including preparing consolidated accounts
- Update forecasts on a quarterly basis, including balance sheet and cash flow statements
- Assist with justification and measurement of Capex purchases
- Represent the finance team on the development of a new ERP system, in particular the accounting and costing aspects
- Adhoc duties to support the team
Applications are invited from individuals with the following skills:
- Previous experience in a similar role (ideally within in a manufacturing environment)
- Ideally qualified or working towards a formal qualification (QBE would also be considered)
- IT Literate
- Team player, who has a flexible attitude
- Excellent communications skills
This is a fully office based role (although the client would consider 1 day per week from home)
