**Title**: Maintenance Assistant
**Reporting to**: Managing Director, Directors and Operations Manager
**Salary From **:£23,000 pa
**Hours**:40 Hours a week, to include at least one weekend day and any bank holidays falling on work days. Part time hours considered.
**Job purpose**: To assist with all areas of our busy maintenance department

**BACKGROUND**
In June 1990 the Rollings family opened Fishers Farm as a visitor centre. The park has been improved steadily over the years, ploughing back money, time and love.

Fishers is a multi-award winning attraction and has twice been voted in national awards as “Large Farm Attraction of the Year” and in 2020 we won ‘Best large visitor attraction’ in the south east.

The farm is open all year and we run seasonal events in the spring, summer, Halloween and Christmas.
The farm is divided into different departments - admin, livestock, reception /shop, catering, maintenance and adventure activities.
In 2023 we had 200k visitors

The Rollings family continue to own and run the farm, and take pride in the “family run feel” of the business.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
1. Park maintenance
2. Facilities
3. Ride operations
4. Adventure Activities Coordinator.
5. Project assistance

**Park Maintenance**

1. Using daily, weekly and monthly routine tasks ensure the park and all fixtures and fittings are fully operational, safe and clean.

2. Keep all workshop areas tidy, stocked and clean.

3. Be prepared to attend and be of assistance to all other park departments for matters affecting the operation or safety of the park during the day.

4. Be prepared to assist or manage any other essential maintenance tasks above and beyond normal duties on a daily basis.

**Facilities**

1. To assist and cover the facility cleaner with any additional help
2. Carry out periodic daily check on all facilities
3. Assist with any deep cleaning schedules and other essential facility based tasks during the year.
4. Make sure all fixtures, fittings and equipment in facilities are in good condition, clean, stocked and usable.
5. Make sure all waste facilities including bins, skips and associated equipment is well maintained and emptied regularly.

**Ride Operations**
1. Following in-house training, operate, drive or control the various ride at the park.
2. Following training be prepared to assist and cover the various adventure activities on the park.

**Adventure Activities coordinator**

1. At specific weekend day and holidays, be on hand to assist the operations manager with the running of the adventure activities department.

2. This includes rota organisation, break cover and specific extra task staff allocation.

**Project Assistance**
1. Depending on experience, qualifications and competency assist as necessary with any project, building work or associated task being carried out by the Fishers team.

**General**

1. Ensure you maintain good up-to-date product knowledge of the park and activities, entertainment and timetables.

2. Generally visually survey the Park with a view to checking customer satisfaction, ensuring checking good parental supervision and to monitor correct procedures are being adopted by staff.

3. Have a high regard for personal hygiene.
4. Be prepared to take on additional responsibilities where necessary.
5. Treat all colleagues with respect and understanding.
6. Always support and implement company policy, but communicate any misgivings regarding policies directly to Operations Manager.
7. Attend and contribute to meetings and make an effort to attend all company special events and social functions.
8. Establish and maintain sound working relationships within your department and consider supporting work colleagues in their hobbies and pursuits outside of work.
