Warehouse Operative

PWG Trading Ltd includes two of the UK’s Premier timber fenestration brands, Timber Windows & Dale Joinery. Timber Windows has a UK wide network of 50 beautifully appointed showrooms providing a unique experience for customer seeking replacement timber windows and doors.

We are now looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our team based in Tiptree Essex. The successful applicant would ideally have previous experience with warehouse distribution and forklift training. The warehouse operative will work alongside our logistics team to receive inbound deliveries and carry out thorough quality control inspections prior to loading and dispatch of delivery. Ensuring that an excellent standard of service is provided and maintained.

This is a full-time role working a shift pattern.

Early Shift: 6am-2.30pm

Late Shift: 10.30am-7pm

**Responsibilities**:

- Unload inbound deliveries in a safe and controlled manner.
- The care of products whilst in transit within the warehouse.
- De-palletise products and re-palletise as required.
- Carry out quality control checks on all products.
- Report any product discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Keep a clean and safe working area.
- Carry out repairs on products with minor transport damage.
- Fit hardware on products.
- Prepare drivers paperwork with all relevant information.
- Load lorries in a safe and controlled manner.
- Optimise Warehouse space at every opportunity.
- Learn the glazing process to assist others and undertake this on your own once competent.
- Being part of a positive team environment, displaying high levels of motivation and excellent team spirit.
- Learn all aspects of the Logistics Team role to provide support when needed in other areas.
- Assist other departments inhouse and on site where required.

**Knowledge & Experience**:

- Warehouse experience preferable but not essential.
- Forklift experience preferable but not essential.
- IT literate
- A clean UK driving licence.
