Responsibilities:

- Perform various warehouse duties including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping of materials
- Operate forklifts and other mechanical equipment to move and transport materials within the warehouse
- Utilize warehouse management systems (AS400) to track inventory and maintain accurate records
- Build and assemble product orders according to customer specifications
- Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with inventory management
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency

**Experience**:

- Previous experience working in a warehouse or similar environment is preferred
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other mechanical equipment.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, including materials handling and stock management
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems, such as AS400, is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required

**ABOUT THIS ROLE**

**KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Oversee the unloading of deliveries of stock arriving by lorry/HGV.
- Move stock within the warehouse when adding or relocating stock.
- Making sure all Health & Safety guidelines are adhered to.
- Prepare customer orders by picking relevant stock from the designated warehouse locations.
- Record details of stock taken to prepare customer orders.
- Monitor quality of stock being received/despatched and record any issues.
- Be responsible for stocktakes.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements through goods in/out as well as internal movement.
- Use our computerised stock control system to retrieve, monitor and where applicable, enter relevant information relating to movement of stock.
- Making sure the products are labelled correctly for each customer.
- Other activities in line with job role and skills
- Forklift licence essential

Ability to travel between warehouse in Whitland & warehouse in Swansea.

- Ideally a familiarity with using computers but training will be provided in the use of any technology relating to your role.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills as counting and recording stock figures will be an important aspect.

- Desire to handle responsibility for yourself as well as other employees, the ability to see all tasks are completed.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills, someone who is looking to lead by example and willing to develop other employees.

**Skills**:

- Mechanical knowledge: Ability to operate and troubleshoot mechanical equipment in the warehouse
- Forklift: Proficiency in operating forklifts to move materials within the warehouse
- Warehouse: Understanding of warehouse operations and processes
- Materials handling: Knowledge of proper handling and storage of materials in a warehouse setting
- AS400: Familiarity with using AS400 or similar warehouse management systems
- Stock: Experience with managing stock levels and conducting inventory counts
- Warehouse management system: Ability to utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory and manage orders
- Build: Skill in building and assembling product orders accurately and efficiently
- Shipping receiving: Experience with shipping and receiving processes in a warehouse environment
- Heavy lifting: Ability to lift heavy objects or materials as required

Pay: £23,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
