Car Mechanic

T.J Motors is an established and local garage with a large and loyal customer base. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced mechanic to join our team.

You can expect to work on every day newer model cars, American muscle cars, classic Americans, vans and more. We run a well stocked garage with highest quality tools to complete every job, including welding. MOT'S are done off site.

A typical day will involve booking in jobs, communicating with customers, diagnosing and fixing the vehicle, prepping for MOT tests and more.

Opening hours are 8am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday with opportunities for Saturday work.

Salary is negotiable.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements.
- Diagnose and repair vehicle issues, such as engine problems, electrical malfunctions, and brake system failures.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify any additional repair or maintenance needs.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle problems.
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed for repairs or modifications.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and explaining repairs in a clear and understandable manner.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as an automotive mechanic or technician.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting
- Valid driver's license

Pay: £20,270.63-£43,256.68 per year
