We are currently assisting a key client in their search for a Care Assistant to join their fantastic team. Our client runs a specialist care home for up to 36 people who have dementia and are no longer able to live safely at home. Their main aim is to provide an environment that encourages service users to take as much control of their life as possible. They do everything possible for individuals to retain and regain skills and interests and make every day as enjoyable as it possibly can be.

As mentioned, the service users within this particular home are elderly individuals with dementia. With this in mind, you will be responsible for aiding these individuals in multiple areas of their day-to-day lives. You will be tasked with assisting in their general self-care routine, such as bathing, meal prep, picking the right outfit and getting dressed for the fantastic day ahead.

When it comes to keeping the residents entertained, you will be responsible for planning each individuals’ tasks & activities for the day, getting them out and about in to the local community, socialising within the on-site lounges with a cup of tea or getting involved in inhouse activities. Activities on offer include quizzes, craftwork, gentle exercising classes or musical activities.

You have the opportunity to be a key part of a fun and experienced team, within a busy environment which is full of life. On offer is a permanent position and the opportunity to work a variation of shift patterns, which include full days, morning, afternoons or night shifts. Times as per below:
**Full days 7.30am - 10pm**
**Mornings 7.30am - 2pm**
**Afternoons 1.30pm - 10pm**
**Nights 9.45pm - 7.45am**
