This manufacturer of components to the Aerospace industry is looking for a CNC Vertical Lathe Turner (Nights or weekend days) to join their Leicester site for a permanent role.

Hours of work are Monday to Thursday 6pm until 6am **or** Friday, Saturday and Sunday 6am until 6pm

**Role Accountabilities**:

- Use and control of CNC programs in accordance with relevant procedures.
- Ability to read and understand CNC code to the level required for machine set up and operation.
- Understand all set up parameters and the effect that they have on the process, for example, datum setting and tool length and wear offsets.
- Set up machines with the required work holding and tooling in accordance with relevant procedures.
- Responsible for setting and operating a Mazak Megaturn Vertical Turning Centre
- Responsible for Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM)
- Capable of using measuring equipment such as micro meters, Vernier Callipers, Height Towers, Shadow Graphs, CMM etc.

**Person Specification**:

- 5 years’ experience in the Aerospace/Automotive Industry in a similar role
- Apprentice trained - Preferred or Demonstrated relevant experience
- Working to production time lines in a manufacturing environment
- Working with SOPs and Company specific documentation
- A natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance
- Mature, credible and comfortable om dealing with various stakeholders
- Attention to detail and accuracy at all times
- Working to deadlines
- Professional approach to dealing with queries internally/externally
