We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fundraising Officer/Manager to work for a local organisation within Ealing.This is a fixed term contract for 6-8 months to start ideally end of Feb/early March.Once you are settled into the role there willbe an opportunity to work on a hybrid basis but you must have the flexibility to be able to work in the office at last minute if required.

The post holder will manage strategic projects and high priority donor relationships, with the aim of attracting high value gifts in support of the organisations fundraising objectives. You will work closely with senior staff and volunteers in identifyingimaginative ways to capitalize on fundraising opportunities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage a high-profile portfolio of individuals, maintaining close personal relationships with each in your portfolio.
- Work closely with staff to bring prospective donors to the point where they can be asked for a major gift. This includes advising the above on the best approach for engaging a prospect and ensuring that the engagement strategy is implemented collaboratively.
- Initiate your own research on prospective donors and direct the focus of the prospect researcher/and or professional agencies in order to support your identification, approach, cultivation, and stewardship of potential donors through calls, visits and otherforms of communication.
- Independently manage the production of effective written proposals, reports and presentations to donors and prospective donors for fundraising purposes
- Set fundraising priorities and strategy
- Work collaboratively with members of the Development and Alumni Relations team, to deliver the required investment for projects and ensure the smooth running of projects thereafter to aid donor stewardship.
- Maintain clear and up-to-date records on donors and prospect management.
- Remain up to date with developments in fundraising and keep abreast of relevant philanthropic news, charity law and other relevant laws
- Offer support and take up any duties assigned by the Head of the department.

- You will have strong influencing and relationship building skills and be an excellent and proficient communicator.
- You will be a strategic thinker with an ability to identify new opportunities for developing income streams
- You will be a strong team player.
- You will have the confidence, sensitivity and awareness to deal with high-profile individuals and make requests for financial support.
- You will have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- You will be a problem solver, able to work on your own initiative.
- You will be comfortable working to tight deadlines and flexible to work outside office hours when the need arises.
