To undertake the examination of student C1 LGV/HGV assessments with delegated authority from the Driver Vehicle Standards Agency

To coordinate the waiting list of students requiring examination in C1 3a and 3b tests.

To provide effective feedback to students after their tests.

To liaise with Service managers on the projected pass rates and to ensure minimum test numbers are achieved.

Opportunity to support the NHS with a key priority area to improve service delivery to patients.

Responsible for the delivery of driver examination within the regulations of the Driver Training department. This includes the delivery of all driver education and remedial training to all staff inclusive of clinical and management grades within the trust, as well as external commercial students.

Delivering both emergency and non-emergency driving education, inclusive Cat C Light Goods Vehicle (LGV). Ensuring that all requirements for the awarding and accrediting bodies are adhered to and maintained to ensure compliance with relevant standards, directives, and policies.

The post holder will deliver at various locations throughout the Trust in accordance with the Trust’s needs and must have a current valid DVSA accredited Delegated Driving Examiner Qualification (HGV) and valid Cat C+E UK Driving Licence.

- Be willing to work from various locations
- Be a qualified DVSA Driving Test Examiner
- Have knowledge of the LGV/HGV vehicles
- Hold a professional responsibility to conduct LGV/HGV driving tests in line with DVSA standards
- Have held a UK or EU driving licence continuously for the last 3 years
- No more than 3 penalty points on your licence
- High standard of verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Previous experience of delivering training and coaching employees
- Actively seeks opportunities to positively impact beyond the area of responsibility
- Enjoys working in fast-paced environments and to tight deadlines
