Bid Writer

**Bid Writer-** required for our client to join their well-established team in New Eltham. The Bid Writer will be working for a company that are specialists within the Civil Engineering industry and provide minor works on Railwayowned infrastructure. The Bid Writer will be normally involve the upgrades of railway structures including bridges, tunnels, viaducts and earthworks as well as other public works.

The Bid Writer will have experience within the reactive maintenance sector in rail or highways and have previously worked as a Bid Writer or a Bid Coordinator The Bid Writer will be taking ownership of delivering bids across a wide range of values, sectorsand services with values ranging from thousands to multi-millions. The Bid Writer will have the ability to write a creative and compelling copy which communicates the company's solutions to tender opportunities, the most suitable individual will be willingto go the extra mile and have the ability to generate winning submission material from scratch.

**Bid WriterPosition Overview**
- Working in the tendering team, alongside estimators, CAD technicians and the bid coordinator
- Information gathering from operations teams, tender documents and the tender library
- Review tender requirements
- Co-ordinating the bid response
- Co-ordinate and submit good standard bids in both the public and private sectors.
- Produce bid material
- Updating/maintaining the bid library with high quality information/responses
- Writing case studies of completed projects and amending these to suit individual submissions
- Working alongside the rest of the team in project managing bids and tenders
- Putting together winning tender submissions.
- Coordinate with subcontractors for technical data input and liaise with estimators to obtain the information they need for pricing.

**Bid WriterPosition Requirements**
- Degree level qualification within suitable discipline
- Experience in bid / content writing
- Previous experience working as a Bid Writer or a Bid Coordinator
- Demonstrable history of research and long and short form writing
- Excellent literacy and proof reading skills
- Critical thinking and evaluation skills, with the desire to consistently improve
- Strong desire to win and go the extra mile
- Ability to generate winning submission material from scratch
