The client is a worldwide leader in design and manufacturing for the orthopedic and medical device markets, including joint reconstruction, spine, trauma, sports medicine, extremities and dental. With 14 world-class facilities located around the globe, they continue to provide others an opportunity to live a better life through the products, services and the way the company conducts business.

Their Sheffield facility based off the Sheffield Parkway comprises a Forge, Foundry and CNC Machining and Finishing processes. It employs approximately 230 people and focuses on joint reconstruction, in particular knee and hip joints and also the instruments required to fit the medical device parts.

They currently have a vacancy available within the Forge. They are looking for individuals with experience or a desire to work in the following role:
Forge Finishing Operative

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Working Hours: 3 shift rotating Monday to Friday

Hourly Rate: £10.76 p/h + 17% shift allowance = £12.59 p/h

Overtime: Paid at time and ½ after 37.5 hours

Reporting to the Forge Team Leader you will be responsible for:

- Using small handheld grinding equipment to remove defects from the faces of the forgings
- Use hand held measuring equipment
- Carry out visual inspection of components
- Complete necessary paperwork relating to the batch to enable traceability

Essential experience for the role:

- This role would suit an individual with a keen eye for detail who has experience using small hand held tools
- Conventional measuring experience
- Must have worked within a manufacturing environment in a similar role
