The post holder will be able to provide an excellent standard of radiographic imaging and quality of patient care whilst maintaining a sensitive and courteous approach to all patients including when under a variety of pressures. Excellent written and oralcommunication with both patients and colleagues is essential alongside the ability to work as part of a team. In addition to this, the post holder must be comfortable working autonomously using initiative, but also knowing when to seek assistance and guidance
- the post holder must be able to manage their own workload.
**Examples of Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Undertake radiographic examinations maintaining the set standard and seeking advice from Senior Radiographers when necessary
- Ensure all equipment is kept clean and rooms tidy to observe the Health and Safety at Work Act
- Maintain a high standard of patient care and participate in monitoring the standard when required
- Undertake Quality Assurance testing as directed by the Senior Radiographer responsible
- Report any accident or incident to patients or staff to the Superintendent Radiographer and complete the appropriate online documentation
- Observe the radiation regulations at all times and pay particular attention to those regarding women of childbearing age
- Ensure correct patient documentation is recorded
- Be HCPC registered
- Have a BSc in Radiography
- Have previous NHS experience
- Experience of a wide range of routine radiographic examinations
- Practice in accordance with the professional, ethical, and legal codes of the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), and Trust and NHS protocols and guidelines
- Demonstrate a professional attitude and approach at all times
